What can I say?
Been a Celtic supporter as long as I can remember getting on a 64 bus to go Parkhead with my schoolpals. My mother thought we were out playing. Off the bus, up to the the ground and stand there waiting for a lift over the turnstile. Once in head straight for the Jungle, there was always that little bit of apprehension, well it is Celtic.
All standing.all singing & all drinking. That was how to watch a game. Ach nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
Celtic always has had an influence on mine and many others lives. If you were out playing football you always imagined you were a Celtic player, once you were old enough to work, the week was waiting for the game on Sat and the rest of it digesting what you saw.
When I came to the States I was in my 30's and Saturdays involved sitting around twiddling my thumbs until I could phone home for the result. I was then lucky enough to find the infancy of the Houston CSC. We would get some games live or else play a tape of the previous weeks game. The club has come on in leaps & bound since then.
But no matter where you go always be proud to be a Tim, because there is always another person feeling the same.
Hail Hail.
