Bangkok Unofficial Celtic Supporters Club

Celtic supporter? Live in Bangkok? Visiting Bangkok? Want to watch the hoops live in Bangkok?

The Bangkok Unofficial Celtic Supporters Club (contact: bangkokcsc@hotmail.com) is an attempt to establish a CSC in Bangkok, and a way of letting any visiting Celtic fans know where they can watch the games in Bangkok.

At the moment we are a very loose collection (very low in numbers) of Celtic fans who occasionally get together to watch the games live. Live games can be watched in Bangkok in 2 Irish bars (Hanrahan’s / Finnegans) on the same street: Sukhumvit Soi 4 (Nana). The games are shown on goal TV 1, and in both bars it is usually necessary to specifically ask the bar staff to change the channel on one of the TVs to goal TV 1.

Join the Bangkok Unofficial CSC on Facebook here and you can follow them on Twitter @bangkokcsc

Bramalea CSC, Ontario Canada

2009 marked the Bramalea club’s 25th Anniversary!!!

Yes, It’s been a mere 25 years ago since a few people gathered in Bramalea Place with the common vision for a Celtic Supporters Club right here in Bramalea. From Woodgate’s Irish Dance Hall to the room above the Vega Restaurant where the early plans were forged to the grand facility we all enjoy today—it’s been a passionate 25 years.

For the member’s night we would like to contact as many of the old members as possible and invite them to attend. It should be a great evening for renewing old acquaintances and developing new ties. Visit their homepage here.

Jock Stein Memorial CSC – Hamilton Ontario Canada

The Jock Stein Memorial Celtic Supporters Club originated in 1987.  The Club was formed in memory of the Celtics’ greatest manager when a few lads got together to watch tapes of games that were a week old and mostly shown at a local bar.

As the membership grew and the games were being shown via satellite, it was time to move to a new location, which would give them room to grow.  The Hamilton Irish Canadian Club became their home and to this day still is.  They donate to charitable organizations within our community and also sponsor local youth soccer.

The Jock Stein Celtic Supporters Club meets and watches the games at the Irish Canadian Club of Hamilton, located on Concession Street between Upper Wellington and Upper Wentworth, on the North Side.

Los Angeles CSC

The club was initially formed in 1966 with 14 members, 6 of whom went to the European Cup finals. The club eventually folded in 1980 due to lack of support.
After the excitement of the centenary season, Larry Brown started a club in Orange County. The club didn’t have any live satellite games but watched recordings of them a few weeks later. When live games became a reality, the club moved to Santa Monica which has a large Scottish community.
After two seasons, the club returned to Orange County. It became increasingly obvious that this wasn’t working as most members would have to drive more than 100 miles to watch the games. at this time a Santa Monica club began and it wasn’t long before the two clubs combined and are now based out of Santa Monica.
The present club has been growing in strength since 1995 and our ultimate goal is to have our own place where we can show the games and have a pint. Then we won’t be able to blame anybody else for the bad satellite feed every week.
The club has about four dances a year which raises funds for the club and various charities. http://www.laceltic.com

Prague 67 CSC

We try to meet for every game at the Sport Bar Zlatá Hv?zda, which you surely know translates as the Golden Star.
www.sportbar.cz

The bar can be found at Ve Sme?kách 12, Prague 1, which is just off Wenceslas Square.
It is very easy to find but you will need to pass a few “cabaret” clubs to get there. If that bothers you – or you do not have the resolve to walk past a “lovely girls” joint, you could approach it from the other side. Genius, eh?

The easiest way to get there is probably to take the Metro to Muzeum, exit onto Wenceslas Square (look for the sign saying, “Václavské nám?stí”) and turn left onto Ve Sme?kách. You can also get off the Metro at Mustek.

Washington D.C. CSC

Founded in 1997, we are one of many clubs in The United States, Canada and Bermuda that gather on most Saturdays or Sundays (and occasionally Tuesdays or Wednesdays) to watch broadcast games of our beloved Celtic Football Club of the Scottish Premier League.  They are an inclusive club and membership is open to all interested.

We meet most weekends from late July through late May, with occasional weekday matches.

Where They Meet

The home of the Washington, DC Celtic Supporters Club is Flanagan’s Harp & Fiddle, 4844 Cordell Avenue, Bethesda, MD  20814, (301) 951-0115.

Flanagan’s Harp & Fiddle is located on Cordell Avenue, about 2.5 blocks from Old Georgetown Road, and 5.5 blocks from the Bethesda Metro (Red Line) stop in Bethesda, MD. If arriving by Metro, upon exiting the Metro station head straight to Old Georgetown Road, cross to the other side of the street and head down the hill about 3 blocks until you hit Cordell Avenue. Turn right onto Cordell Avenue and go approximately 2.5 blocks.

For more information, please view their website here.

Windsor CSC

The Windsor CSC was formed in 1996. The majority of their members were already friends and had watched the games at the Scottish club for many years. However it was thought that with the formation of the Federation, an official supporters club would be an ideal way to get the bhoys involved. Since the formation of the W.C.S.C. and with the NAFCSC publishing their club, they have had a few new members join and have numerous members of the federation stop by when they pass through town.

They are now located in the basement of the Rockhead Pub, 1444 Ottawa Street, Windsor.  They have found a great location here. With nearly 100 people capacity makes it great for watching the games on their projector or big plasma. And the facility will be great for any future functions.
